this letter is printed in greg stafford's new book "three dissertations on the teachings of jehovah's witnesses".. the scans are not that great but it was the best i could do.. .

The Watchtower heads write go by Mosaic Law on blood but then tell members they do not go by Mosaic law but by Christian principles.
What is going on is this. They want people, especially regular members to see them and themselves as Christian. (Read Matthew 12) But they want to keep the "power" that has accrued under Mosaic Law and their citing and applying it even today on the blood transfusions policy etc; the power to control and dictate people's lives and deaths.
Hypocrites. Pharisees. The modern Roman armies are approaching your gates with the sword of justice even now! (Rom 13) They will do that which we have not. You ask for it. Shame on you for having children to die by bleeding to death just to keep your blood-thirsty lust for power.

Let me repeat. I recommend not giving them a penny until Bill Bowen or Randy Watters confirms it right here, and then I wish the person the best even as I do Shunned Father.
You can keep saying you already verified it with Bill and putting that in BIG letters highlighted in overpowering YELLOW, (so can I) and we still won't believe you for sure until it's done.
If and when it is verified, again, fine. But scam attempts crop up all too often. I don't know you any more than the other person. Also, the other posters have raised valid question marks.
Shunned Father's ad/plea for help runs across the top left side of this discussion board's screen every few minutes or so, and we know that what it says is 100% true.
The Watchtower Society would love for us to divide our donations; so would a scam artist.
If the person is legitimate then Bill Bowen or Randy Watter or some other fully reliable source can confirm it right here.

Please have Bill Bowen verify here if it's authentic. The other person saying they verified with Bill may be for real or they also may simply be the same person, who may or may not be for real, using a different screen name. That someone spoke with Bill and said they had a money need may or may not be true, and they may or may not have fully convinced him. Don't shell out any donations money yet anyone.
People do want to be helpful but as said our own funds are limited, and there is already a definitely verified person in need called "Shunned Father" who is in Canada owing $72,000 in lawyer bills due to fighting against the Watchtower Society to keep his daughter alive via emergency blood transfusions.
As a suggestion, those who are well-off might put it into your wills that such persons be helped. Maybe Randy Watters, Bill Bowen or a group of folks could set up a grants foundation for such emergency situations.

Telling JWs they commit slander when they do not commit in fact commit slander but are mistreated as if they had by the Watchtower Society officials and due to the Watchtower Society's contrived notion that the Bible "always" demands two human witnesses to pedophilia is not only unethical, but appears to grossly violate the human rights of those child victims and their parent supporters whom the WTS "disciplines" (shuns, expels) and causes to be held in derision by the JW community who idolize said WTS misleaders . Notes Taken at the Judical Committee Meeting

the elders couldn't wait to take out a pen and paper and take pages upon pages of notes while i spoke and my poor parents sat and squirmed.
i wasn't a bad kid, it was always about stupid things, like sister-so-and-so said i wore a short skirt to school, etc.

As Joesh said above the records are usually not destroyed locally or at Bethel world headquarters even though there is a written statement that they be destroyed after years have passed. As Joesh also said if Bethel actually destroyed the hearing papers for Franz would be an exception. It's more likely they kept them. Franz himself wrote he was shocked to find Judicial Committee records being kept in the basement even on people long dead. Some local elders like Amazing have done what is right and destroyed locally kept records, but most don't care and let them stay. Sometimes such records contain incorrect information, occasionally include fabrications. This is also scandalous and will come back to haunt the Watchtower Society for remember they include details on pedophilia and the like that were never reported to the police.

ALERT ON BLOOD REFUSAL CASE/ALBERTA/SHUNNED FATHER
by hawkaw inas all should be aware, lawrence hughes daughter has leukemia and is in the 4th and final stage of treatment.
the jws are still fighting to have the daughter declared an adult instead of a minor so she can kill herself instead of receiving a life saving blood transfusion.
now lawrence's lawyer refuses to help anymore even though 1 case is on appeal at the supreme court and a second trial is starting in alberta on monday june 17, 2002. .

Hold it. Troy didn't "try to threaten" as Calvert claimed or "threaten" as you put it, either. He said Calvert's not helping at the end here threatens the life of Lawrence's daughter and other kids. That's absolutely true so I support Troy.
At least he told it like it is, and was a gentleman about it. You read it over. He complimented Calvert for the help he had given. What is true is that Calvert is highly defensive, so jumpy and scared to death that it'll come back to haunt him, and Troy truthfully pointed that out but before he did Hawkaw on the other string was saying much the same thing. Go read that string if anyone doubts it.
If the man ever did lose public and peer favor Troy would not be to blame but the man who made his own decision. I also wonder if his partners in the firm were consulted since they are losing a lot of good publicity that had come to them worth more than the as yet unpaid $72,000.
As to contributing, Troy has run the Shunned Father donations request please time and again. He also suggested to Lawrence that Lawrence ask Randy and Simon to run it time and again on Randy's site and the one you're reading here of Simon's. And you did, didn't you Simon. It was a good idea that has worked. Don't say Free Christians don't go to bat for somebody when we care about them and the kids.
We also exposed the pedophile thing going back to 1998 when you folks didn't even believe it was going on. So don't tell us we don't battle for what's right because we do. If either you or Calvert want someone to kick at, go kick at the Watchtower who cause people to bleed to death and allow child rapes.
